Ben and Sheree Van Doren were in the market to own their first family home for some time when they came across The Point. With two young children, Finn and Evie, they wanted to find the perfect home for their children to grow up in. The Point was easily the best option for the young family, ticking all their boxes.

“We had scanned the market for new and old homes within Point Lonsdale, but didn’t come across a choice that worked for us until now”.

They were planning on buying a property next year, however, thanks to the HomeBuilder grant and First Home Owners grant paired with Ben’s success at his plumbing business, the process was sped up.

“Other properties on the market were too expensive, but with The Point’s pricing and the government incentives, everything fell into place”.
They signed their contract in the last week of July with building set to commence in August. The family are already discussing how they plan to utilise all the facilities offered within the estate.

“We have young kids, so we’re most looking forward to using the playground facilities and riding our bikes on the walking tracks. We’re also keen surfers and kayakers, so being close to the beach is a treat”.

The first-home owners are building a four-bedroom, west-facing home on a spacious 400sqm plot of land, that will overlook the waterfront. The façade will feature a gable roof, rendered paneling and a metal feature wall. They have chosen to build with Hotondo Homes, one of Australia’s leading professional construction companies.

Ben and Sheree are over the moon about owning their first home and couldn’t be more proud of the milestone they have achieved.
