The truth is, life at The Point is overflowing with indulgence, all within arm’s reach. Coastal walks, breathtaking scenery, award-winning dining options, easy access to the thriving hub of Geelong – it’s all so close. To help you choose which ones to add to your bucket list, we’ve made a start with our top 5 must-try experiences, all less than 15 minutes from your new home at The Point.

#1 Sweet treats
Just a short, but must-do, trip down the road from The Point is Coffetti Gelato, perfect for icy treat connoisseurs of all ages. Be tempted by authentic Italian-style house-made gelato and stecchi (ice cream on sticks), with innovative flavours like lemon curd, popcorn, sticky date and with the new shiraz creation, there’s a favourite on the menu for everyone.

#2 Winery walk-abouts
Life on the Bellarine Peninsula is an oasis for wine lovers, with an abundance of cellar doors to explore. The Oakdene Vineyard located just outside Ocean Grove in Wallington, is a popular choice for families with different dining options, from casual to special occasion options, and expansive gardens to discover. A visit to Jack Rabbit Vineyard to check out the views across Geelong and all the way to the You Yangs, is worth the experience, while Terindah and One Day estates should also be added to your list.

#3 Coffee addicts
For those who enjoy your coffee with a view, the local spot to check out is Pasquini’s Café in the heart of Point Lonsdale. With a genuine beachy feel, this Bellarine icon is the perfect place to forget the pressures of time and enjoy the fresh seaside air. Start with coffee and breakfast, and stay until the afternoon, no one is keeping time!

#4 Adrenalin calls
Who doesn’t love a bit of theme park action! Adventure Park in Wallington, is home to the new tornado, Victoria’s biggest and longest water slide. Over 205 metres in water slide at heights of 24 metres, it’s all about family fun, but not for the faint hearted. Adventure Park is open during the warmer months from October through to April, and is home to over 24 rides and experiences such as a lazy river, tiny tots splashzone, as well as land based activities for all ages.

5 Flying Brick Cider Company
Cider houses have definitely become the on-trend social activity, and the Flying Brick venue is not one to miss. Share a tasting paddle of ciders and tour the menu, while the kids run free on the spectacular lawn area. Be sure to try the new local wine label, Yes Said the Seal, and finish the day with a fair trade coffee – perfect!
